Sterilizzazione gattina..

Salve..
Anche se in parte restia a far subire alla mia gattina un intervento chirurgico..le circostanze mi impongono di dover sottoporre a sterilizzazione la mia piccola Gaia..anche perchè so che l'impossibilità di potersi accoppiare(e quindi il calore) le provocherebbe sofferenze maggiori rispetto alla sterilizzazione..che a monte risolverebbe il"problema"..
Ora..il punto di domanda sul"quando"sia +opportuno farlo..? Confused

Qualcuno mi suggerisce di aspettare il primo calore..altri invece di aspettare che compia un anno così che possa completare la crescita..data l'importanza della cosa..non vorrei affidarmi alle"dicerie"o alle"considerzioni personali"di chi che sia!
Ora Gaia ha circa 4 mesi..quindi penso che ci sia ancora un pochino da aspettare..ma attenderò con ansia istruzioni +dettagliate in merito..e ovviamente i consigli di chi, come me, si è trovato in analoghe circostanze.

beh la questione è molto dipendente da veterinario in veterinario...

si può comq sterilizzare dopo i 6 mesi...

io consiglio cmq di farle fare uno sviluppo fisico e ormonale completo.. x avere cmq un gatto "integro" da un punto di vista fisico...

sicuramente prima si fa la sterilizzazione.. più facilmente si riducono i rischi di tumori alla mammaella o all'apparato genitale...

l'incidenza sui tumori è maggiore più alta è l'età del gatto (prima dei 3 anni il rischio di tumore si riduce di molto.. dopo i 3 anni la sua incidenza è quasi uguale a quella degli anni successivi..)
insomma prima lo si fa... meglio è!

io consiglio di farle fare prima qualche calore.. anche se in molti consigliano di sterilizzarla prima del primo estro.. per ridurre al minimo i rischi di futuri tumori...

cosa succede se non la si sterilizza?

la gatta ha un calore poliestrare stagionale.. indotto.. quindi può trasnquillamente andare in calore.. anche ogni mese...
la "rottura di scatole" del calore.. è che per 2 giorni miagolerà e si rotolerà a terra.. e sarà molto più "ruffiana" del solito..
ovviamente a parte questo.. il rischio di una gravidanza "indesiderata" perchè i gatti a parte avere 7 vite.. hanno anche un migliaio di sistemi per raggiungere il loro "scopo" quindi nessuna gattina in calore è al sicuro con un gatto che vuole raggiungere il suo obiettivo Very Happy

personalmente consiglio di andare dal veterinario verso i 6-7 mesi.. e prefissare un giorno per la visita, stabilire il grado di crescita.. e fissare un giorno per l'intervento..

calcolando che il soggetto dovrebbe essere gaia.. ha circa 4 mesi... a fine settembre si può cominciare a parlare col suo veterinario per l'intervento Smile

Non sono competente in materia ..però sono contraria a far sterilizzare gli animali prima del compimento del primo anno di vita..
Ora ok che una gatta in calore è un caos (esperienza personale con la mia),però io il primo calore lo farei fare oppure al limite se proprio non si può, perchè la si tiene fuori ...allora le somministreri la pillola opp la siringa per evitare la gravidanza..prorpio come lo facciamo noi donne .

Anch'io credo bisogni aspettare almeno il primo calore..solo che mi interessava appunto sapere il quando era più opportuno effettuare l'operazione al fine di limitare l'incidenza tumorale.. Wink
